We are starting the Master Cleanse in the morning.  Today is Day 2 of the Pre Cleanse.  No meat today for my meat eaters, today is a build your Alkaline levels day.  So it is a Raw Food day for me, starting with a Raw Food Breakfast.  So I was up early, wanting to shovel as much raw food into my mouth as I can do in one day!  The next ten days my digestive system will be on vacation, while my body rejuvenates and hits the “restart” button.

I wanted to share my Raw Food Breakfast because I love food presentation and this came out pretty!  So I will share the recipe with you.

Raw Food Breakfast

  • 1 gala apple
  • 1/4 sweet potato
  • cinnamon (generous sprinkle)
  • handful of sunflower seeds
  • handful of pumpkin seeds
  • handful of raisins
  • 1/4 cup of raw old fashioned Oatmeal
  • blueberries
  • banana slices
  • 7 cherries (pitted and sliced in half)
  • Nut milk (of your choice, my favorite is coconut milk)

Helpful note: always soak your nuts and seeds.

Place everything in a bowl and pour on the Nut milk.

Enjoy your raw food breakfast, free of meat products, dairy and bad fats. This breakfast is loaded with good nutrition.  For example, Sweet potato contains Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Iron and Magnesium.  Blueberries are chocked full of antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Manganese, also a great source of fiber.  Pumpkin seeds pack Vitamin E, Manganese, Magnesium, Copper, Protein, Zinc and Iron!
